The meeting was attended by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah, the Minister of National Education, Preschool Education, and Sports, Mohamed Saad Berrada, and the Minister Delegate for the Budget, Fouzi Lekjaa. The committee reviewed the progress of renovations on nine stadiums set to host the final stages of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which, as stated in an official communiqué, are proceeding according to the established schedule.
The committee also examined the progress of the construction of Grand Stade Hassan II in Benslimane, which is now expected to be completed by December 2027 as part of preparations for the 2030 FIFA World Cup, co-hosted by Morocco, Spain, and Portugal. The completion date announced during the committee meeting differs from the previously known timeline, as the stadium was initially scheduled to be ready only in 2028.
