Impressive?
During the visit, the young City players had the chance to preview the upcoming changes to the Etihad Stadium. The expansion will increase the stadium’s capacity to over 60,000 seats and introduce a new covered fan zone for 3,000 people, a 400-room hotel, as well as a new club shop and an interactive museum. Lewis and O’Reilly were highly impressed by the project as they walked around the construction site, sharing their excitement about the prospect of playing in front of an expanded North Stand in the future. Once completed, the new North Stand will be located opposite Co-op Live – the UK’s first music arena designed specifically for concerts, a joint venture between City Football Group and Oak View Group.
There has been huge progress over the years. The club is always striving to be bigger and better. You can already see how much everything is expanding and how exciting this will be for the fans – both now and in the future,
said Rico Lewis after the tour.
