Major renovation of Davis Wade Stadium

The project is designed to upgrade athletic facilities, improve the comfort of athletes and fans, and enhance the university's standing in academic competition. MSU's director of athletics, Zac Selmon, highlighted that the initiative has received a lot of support from donors, with the university receiving 40 major gifts in December, which, with an annual average of 60, is impressive. Shortly after the plan was announced, the university announced a significant financial contribution - $2m was donated by Bo and Nikki McKinnis. One of the key elements of the plan is the redevelopment of Davis Wade Stadium, one of the oldest football facilities in the US, built in 1914. The biggest changes will include replacing the lower portion of the stands on the west side and a comprehensive rebuild of the south end zone.

Investments in sports infrastructure are not only aimed at improving conditions for athletes and fans but also at attracting new students and enhancing the university's prestige. Modern facilities often play a crucial role in young people's decisions when choosing a place to study, and having the right amenities can significantly impact their comfort and academic development. For many students, campus life is not just about classes and training but also about dealing with academic challenges and a packed schedule. It's no surprise that, in search of support, they often turn to online resources, typing write my assignment for me to get the help they need. They can find unique work done by native experts with reasonably-priced papers and quick delivery.

New premium suites will be added to the west stand and the press box will be relocated to the east side, where a modern arena and upgraded suites are also planned. The south concourse area will gain new locker rooms for the MSU team, recruiting spaces and suite-style boxes, as well as luxury loft suites with garages. Additionally, the stadium will receive a modern LED lighting system for the 2025 season.

New restaurant at Dudy Noble Field

The home of MSU's baseball team, Dudy Noble Field, will also get a number of improvements. There are plans to build new suites, expand the main lobby and add an additional loft building in left field. In addition, a new event terrace for fans will be built in central field.

One of the most interesting elements of the modernisation is the design of a restaurant open all year round, which will be located in right field of the stadium. This is intended to be a space that is accessible not only on match days, but also to residents and students all year round, increasing the functionality of the facility.

Indoor training facility for American football team

Leo Seal Jr. Football Complex is set to gain a modern indoor training facility, which will be built on the site of the current turf training field. The construction was approved by the Council of Institutions of Higher Learning as early as November last year, and has now moved into the implementation phase.

As well as a new training hall, the project includes a recovery area for players, a players‘ lounge, an expanded food area and a modern meeting room dedicated to athletes’ mental health.

Changes at Humphrey Coliseum - possible relocation of student section

Mississippi State is also planning to upgrade Humphrey Coliseum, the arena where the university's basketball teams play their games. Among the proposals is consideration of relocating the student section, currently located in the north-east corner of the stands.

In addition, updates to the sound and video systems are planned, which will improve the quality of the sporting spectacle. Changes will also include the Mize Pavilion, which houses the training halls and basketball team offices. New training and nutrition areas for players, a recruiting lounge and an exclusive premium club for guests will be added there.

Other key investments

In addition to upgrading the major facilities, the plan includes a number of other improvements on campus. MSU Soccer Field will see 500-1000 additional seats and a new Clubhouse with a viewing deck. At Nusz Park, MSU's softball complex, there are plans to install a new video board and shade structure over the bleachers, as well as an expansion of the car park and promenade. Changes will also include the Newell-Grissom Building, where volleyball matches are held - the entrance, toilets and refreshment facilities will be upgraded. The John H. Bryan and George W. Bryan Senior Building will house the Hall of Honour, while the Palmeiro Center, an indoor practice facility for the football and baseball teams, is scheduled to have its artificial turf upgraded.
