Action right after construction resumes – is it too late?

Following previous efforts such as filing complaints with the city council, organizing debates, and launching other initiatives, the group has now published a technical manifesto: Mestalla, a realistic decision for Valencia CF. This three-page document—ironically released just as work on Nou Mestalla resumes after a 16-year halt—expresses justified hopes and determined efforts to make the current stadium one of the venues for the 2030 World Cup.

According to the supporters' group, the document is endorsed by recognized experts and highlights major technical and financial shortcomings of the new stadium, presented on October 11, 2024. It also defends the need for an open and honest debate on the possibility of modernizing Camp de Mestalla.

Fans appeal to experts

The manifesto emphasizes the need for an open and thorough analysis of the feasibility of renovating Camp de Mestalla as a realistic and sustainable alternative for the future of Valencia CF. Key arguments include the outdated structure of the new stadium, budget inconsistencies, and risks related to current regulations, argue the document’s authors. Additionally, the fan group calls for the support of other experts to at least initiate a debate on the future of the stadium and the club itself, whose majority shareholder is Peter Lim.
