Step by step
The first event will take place on Monday, February 17, when the under-18 team will play a friendly match in front of 10,000 spectators. The opponent has not yet been announced. The second event will feature the under-21 team facing a friendly match in front of 25,000 people. This match will take place at the end of March or early April, depending on the success of the first test.
The third event, planned for later in the season, will involve a match before nearly full stadium capacity, with 52,888 spectators. However, official matches cannot be played at this stage.
The race for tickets begins
The 10,000 spectators at the first event will be seated in the south stand of Everton Stadium, in a designated area with barriered seating. The club plans to open the entire stadium for the second test event, albeit with a reduced capacity in each stand. Tickets for the first two matches, priced at £5 for adults and £2.50 for concessionary groups, will be allocated through a lottery that started on January 3.
