Despite relegation from the Segunda to the Primera RFEF, Gerard Piqué's project with Andorra and his involvement have remained unchanged. The original plan by Kosmos, Piqué's company, included the construction of a new stadium in Andorra.

Failure to reach an agreement over the lease
The contract was nearly finalized, and the stadium design was already in place. It was practically assumed that this project would soon become a reality. However, as confirmed by the club a few weeks ago in a statement, the plan for a new stadium collapsed due to a failure to reach an agreement regarding the Borda Mateu land, where the stadium was to be built. The reason for this setback was the landowners' negative decision about leasing the land for the stadium. This situation forced the club to reconsider its plans, especially considering FC Andorra's long-term commitment to the country. Recently, Gerard Piqué even hinted at the possibility of leaving the country after the government announced that the team would need to relocate to a different stadium. According to Relevo, the club had consulted with Nàstic about the possibility of playing their home games at Nou Estadi de Tarragona.

Will they play in Encamp?
After reconsidering the situation, the club decided to abandon the construction of a new stadium in the Principality. It's unfeasible,
said president Ferran Vilaseca during a holiday meeting. There is no consistency. The Borda Mateu project didn't fail due to financial reasons, but because of the landowners' decision not to agree on certain terms,
he added. According to the board, the club should remain at Estadi Nacional, where they currently play their matches, as they believe Andorra does not need a new stadium but rather improvements to the existing one.
The contract between the club and Estadi Nacional expires at the end of the season, forcing the team to look for alternatives. The most likely option, according to the club, is the new stadium of the Andorran Football Federation in Encamp. The club is expected to meet with federation representatives in the coming days to discuss the terms for playing there next season.
