Llano del Beal and Marbella celebrate a historic moment yet to come. Deportiva Minera and Marbella FC will face Real Madrid and Atletico, respectively, in the Copa del Rey. The expectation is so great that both clubs have decided to move to bigger fields for the round. Although their chances are slim, the past has shown that they could fight and win.

It's going to be a magical day for everyone
These words of José Perez Veiga, coach of Deportiva Minera, a club in the Segunda RFEF (4th tier), explain well what modest clubs feel when the Copa del Rey gives them a unique opportunity: to play against giants of world level. But the video of the team's reaction sums it up even better.

The illusion is contagious not only between the team and the fans, and in general, in their localities. So much so that Deportiva Minera had to issue a statement asking the people of Llano del Beal patience and understanding
and not to call to ask for ticket prices because their administration had collapsed.
Although they were offered to play at Estadio Enrique Roca de Murcia, the board decided to host Real Madrid at Estadio Cartagonova, with a capacity close to 15,000 seats, 7 times more than their field, Estadio Municipal Ángel Celdrán. Prices for season ticket holders will be between 50€ and 120€, and for the general public, between 80€ and 150€, depending on the area of the stadium.
The coach of la Deportiva Minera promises a fierce fight, but is aware that they are measured to one of the best teams in the world. Although it looks like Minera stands no chance, Real Madrid has been eliminated 4 times in the round of 32 in the 21st century, the last time against third-tier Alcoyano in the 2020-21 season by 2:1. The soccer party will arrive at Cartagonova on January 6, at 19:00. The Three Kings have brought the fans of Llano del Beal the best possible gift.

Marbella FC - Atlético Madrid
Third- tier Marbella, on the other hand, will play on January 4 at 21:30 at La Rosaleda having Atletico Madrid as their opponent for the round of 32. The club usually plays at a provisional field, Dama de la Noche, with a capacity of just 1,900 spectators, while waiting for the new stadium to be built in the city. The RFEF has authorized the move,
allowing Marbella to make more cash thanks to the 30,000 stadium seats in Malaga and making possible a good quality television broadcast.
