Atlético Madrid’s stadium will fully capitalize on the concert season between May 25, marking the end of the league season, and late July, when the pitch will need to be relaid.

Taking advantage of Bernabéu’s unresolved issues
Eight concerts are already scheduled for these two months, with three additional major events, yet to be announced, already contracted. Additionally, the club is negotiating with other promoters for the few remaining dates in this packed summer schedule, as confirmed by sources from the club. Over nine weeks, the stadium is nearly 100% booked.
The venue’s success is so significant that Atlético Madrid is already in talks to host several concerts in the summer of 2026. The explosion of live music's popularity in Madrid, with steadily increasing ticket sales over the past decade, and the difficulties of Bernabéu as a concert venue have benefitted Riyadh Air Metropolitano. It has become the most sought-after venue in Spain for organizers of major national and international tours.
In the summer of 2024, Bernabéu was highly popular, but Real Madrid’s unexpected decision to cancel several concerts, along with €800,000 in fines imposed on organizers for exceeding noise limits, created an opportunity for Metropolitano. This situation will persist until the City Council and the Community of Madrid decide whether they want Bernabéu to remain one of the world’s leading venues for major concert tours,
said Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez recently.
Barcelona’s contrasting scenario
In Barcelona, the situation is different. Lluís Companys stadium currently has only one concert scheduled — Imagine Dragons on July 1. Meanwhile, Espanyol announced in September that it plans to transform RCDE Stadium in Cornellà into a concert venue. For now, one show is on sale for 2025 — Robbie Williams on July 5.
