Fast construction with top-notch amenities
The construction of the temporary facility has been entrusted to the joint venture (UTE) of Nussli and Grupo MLN. The investment cost has not been disclosed. The stadium will feature four stands, one of which will be covered, and will accommodate approximately 20,000 spectators. The total area of the stadium, measuring 170 x 150 meters, will include all the necessary equipment for hosting LaLiga matches and will offer fans a comprehensive match-day experience.
The stadium will be built in a modular system on the north parking lot of Expo Zaragoza. Reusable components will be employed in its construction, allowing for a very short build time and the reuse of materials, contributing to sustainable planning. The facility will include all essential services for its planned capacity, such as ticket offices, food and beverage zones, and booths for radio and television commentators. Additionally, a building near the covered stand will house changing rooms, a first-aid room, and an anti-doping control area.
Construction will begin early next year, with the stadium set to be completed before the start of the 2025/2026 season. Lluís Herrero, Managing Director of Nussli Iberia, emphasized the significance of the project for Spanish football clubs, stating that the modular stadium demonstrates it is possible to achieve the highest standards of quality and fan experience.
