During Betis' match against Rayo Vallecano, thousands of plush toys flew onto the pitch from the Benito Villamarín stands. This is the 7th time in a row that toys have covered the stadium's turf in the last game of the year.

Christmas atmosphere at the Benito Villamarín
The record has been broken. Thousands of plush toys were donated by Real Betis fans at halftime of the match against Rayo Vallecano (1:1). And on top of that, the larger sized ones collected before the match. The club's foundation collected a total of 20,000 toys - a thousand more than in the record 2021 - so that no child is left without a gift this Christmas.
The gifts collected at Benito Villamarín are already being distributed to different organizations, which will distribute them among the children in families affected by the October floods in the Valencia region. Some of the toys will also go to an orphanage in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.
