An unusual attraction in an unusual location

Although the whole thing lasts just over 20 seconds, the adrenaline and views compensate for the short time and the price of 2,500 yen (approximately 15€). For an additional 1,500 yen, you can get a 360° camera to record the experience.

The slide starts at the office building north of the stadium and ends on the roof of the gallery located behind the south stand. The ride is 258 metres long and the height difference is 20 metres. The organisers have set weight limits of 40 to 110 kg.

The daredevils who decide to take on this unique attraction above Peace Stadium will ride diagonally over the turf, the stands and the canopy to land right behind it. During the descent, however, they will have to quickly decide what they will focus their attention on: the stadium itself, the cityscape or the impressive hotel rising above the venue.

Peace Stadium is the second-league V-Varen stadium, inaugurated on 14 October this year. It has a capacity of 20,027 seats and the cost of the entire complex with buildings at the stadium was $657 million. The stadium is located just 1.5 km from the site of the atomic bomb explosion in 1945.
