Storm clouds have gathered over Bramley-Moore Dock. Literally and figuratively, as flooding caused by heavy rains has affected the prestige of The Toffees' yet-to-be-inaugurated stadium. The club, however, assures that nothing has happened.

Storm Darragh, which reached the British Isles on Thursday night, did not spare Everton Stadium in Liverpool. English media circulated footage of flooded stands and corridors followed by comments recalling that the £750 million stadium was supposed to, as the club's interim CEO Colin Chong promised, last 100 years,
yet it did not survive a single downpour.
However, as The Mirror reports citing club sources, the flooding is not the result of structural problems, but the result of a lack of a siphonic drainage system. The system has not yet been installed throughout all of the stadium, and Thursday's flooding is not the first to have happened. Damage caused by flooding in parts of the stands is unlikely to be serious.
However, as a result of the storm, the originally scheduled for Saturday at 12:30 local time at Goodison Park derby between Everton and Liverpool, has been postponed. A new date for the match has not yet been announced.
