Rejecting allegations they consider unfair
The Music Promoters Association came to the defense of concert organizers at Estadio Santiago Bernabéu who face threats of cancellations and sanctions. The Association responded amid concert industry outrage, as stadium officials blamed music promoters following resident complaints. APM argues that the stadium managers should ensure the venue is equipped for the events it hosts.
In recent months, music promoters organizing or reserving dates at Santiago Bernabéu have faced canceled bookings and financial penalties, seriously impacting the public, artists, promotional companies, and workers in the sector,
the statement reads. This comes as a response to recent accusations in a Madrid court by representatives of Real Madrid. The recent statements blaming music promoters for acoustics violations related to stadium concerts are creating distrust in our industry,
warns the association.

The association calls for stadium adaptation
Since April last year, concert organizers at Santiago Bernabéu have incurred penalties totaling €801,000 for exceeding noise limits, despite meeting all requirements and permits. Meanwhile, APM, representing 100 promotional companies in the Association, calls on stadium managers to take responsibility and acoustically adapt the venue to its surroundings, implementing essential soundproofing measures to ensure residents’ well-being.
The club halts concerts. Will the problem be solved?
Real Madrid emphasizes its commitment to maintaining good relations with neighbors affected by the noise and is working to agree on soundproofing improvements. The judicial process continues as the club awaits further court decisions on evidence and testimony. Real Madrid plans to resume concerts at the Bernabéu next year, though an exact date is not yet set. José Ángel Sánchez has clarified that concerts will return once the stadium meets acoustic standards.
A neighborhood representative voiced concern: This is not a matter of football or Real Madrid, but of public health. The health of thousands of citizens is at risk, as around 800 homes housing approximately 2,000 people surround the Bernabéu, who are facing serious issues.
