At a recent meeting of the Turin City Council, the options surrounding the stadium's transformation were discussed. The discussion, chaired by Sports Councillor Domenico Carretta, focused on new development prospects and investment opportunities. The explanations given by Carretta shed light on the planned activities and their potential consequences.

Dialogue and cooperation as foundation for future activities

Domenico Carretta stressed the crucial importance of dialogue between the city and Torino Calcio, which goes far beyond strictly sporting issues. Cooperation between the two parties is aimed at creating joint projects, which can contribute to further development.

The current concession for the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino expires on 30 June 2025, but the city is already planning for future moves. Councillor Carretta announced that a tender for a new concession will be launched soon. Significantly, he did not rule out the possibility of evaluating bids for a partnership or the purchase of the stadium, if such proposals are made.

From an economic point of view, the possibility of selling or entering into an investment partnership opens up many potential avenues for development. New investments could upgrade infrastructure, improve accessibility to services and increase the attractiveness of the stadium.

Councillor Andrea Russi pointed out the need to update the financial terms of the concession, which no longer correspond to today's economic realities. Such a change could contribute to better management of the stadium.
