According to a joint press release from the club and the company, the project is part of a broader public-private partnership between the rossoblù club and the Municipality of Bologna. The stadium will remain municipally owned, and the new Stadio Dall’Ara will contend as one of the potential host venues for the UEFA Euro 2032.
The agreement between Bologna and Webuild, valued at €200 million, grants exclusive rights until December 31, 2027, to oversee a full renovation of the stadium. This will make Dall’Ara an infrastructure operating 7 days a week, providing high-level services in all sectors,

The stadium will meet UEFA Category 4 standards and will hold over 30,000 seats with optimal visibility. The stands will be very close to the field, just about 7 meters from the touchline. The project, designed and managed by Studio Gau Arena, led by architect Gino Zavanelli in Rome, also includes the renovation of the Antistadio on Via Andrea Costa and a temporary facility to be built in the Fico district.
Search for the missing funds continues
According to reports, despite this new agreement, the Stadio Dall’Ara redevelopment remains uncertain due to funding gaps. The total cost of the investment is estimated at €200 million, but there is currently a €50 million shortfall. Bologna has pledged €110 million, while the municipality has offered €40 million, bringing the total to €150 million. With the source of the remaining funds yet to be secured, estimating start and completion dates for the project remains challenging.
