New plans also for the new stadium
TFG is in the process of acquiring the Toffees from majority owner Farhad Moshiri. The transaction may be completed by the end of the year, pending regulatory approval. Fans hope that the American company, led by Dan Friedkin, will bring financial stability to Everton after several turbulent years. The acquisition coincides with the club’s impending move to a new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock. With 52,888 seats, the stadium is expected to substantially boost match-day revenues, while club representatives are in talks with potential title sponsors.
The stadium is also intended to generate revenue when Everton is not playing. According to The Athletic, TFG has ambitious plans, reportedly aiming to expand the club’s presence in the docks
by developing Nelson Dock, located south of Bramley-Moore Dock, creating more space for entertainment and leisure offerings. It is also suggested that capacity of Everton Stadium could be expanded in the future if demand increases, though this may be challenging due to the site’s spatial restrictions.
Everton prepares to begin season ticket distribution
Season tickets for Everton’s new stadium are set to go on sale in January. Fans with season tickets held for 23 years or more will be the first to select seats. Everton announced that ticket sales windows will be based on how long fans have held their season tickets, aligning with fan feedback and in-depth research. Interim CEO Colin Chong explained, For our existing season ticket holders, it was most important that the move to a new home was thoughtful, fair, and simple.
Further information will be released gradually so that every fan can make an informed decision on their preferred seating. November will see the release of seat details, with pricing disclosed in December, and every season ticket holder notified of when they can purchase their ticket in the new year.
Seats will be chosen virtually, using advanced visual tools that show available views. Fans wishing to sit in groups will need to wait until the fan with the shortest tenure is able to choose their seat. With over 30,000 current season ticket holders, the last group selecting their seats at Bramley-Moore will still have at least 13,000 seats to choose from.
