UEFA has announced that Azerbaijan and Spain have expressed interest in hosting the men's UEFA Champions League final in 2027. The search for a new venue began after the executive committee decided to deny San Siro the opportunity to host the event.

The process begins again. Who will win this time?
The federation's authorities expected clear commitments from Milan regarding the modernization of San Siro, necessary due to Italy's plans to host the 2026 Winter Olympics and the 2032 European Championship. However, time passed, and the city’s officials failed to make any definitive decisions. As a result, UEFA decided to restart the process of selecting a host.
Two bids have been submitted. The 2026/2027 Champions League final will be held at either Olympic Stadium in Baku or Riyadh Air Metropolitano in Madrid. Final proposals must be submitted by March 19, with the final decision on who will host the final expected in May 2025.
For Baku, it would be the first Champions League final, as Olympic Stadium has only hosted the 2019 Europa League final. That same year, Metropolitano hosted the Champions League final.
