More clarifications needed
During the meeting, all points related to the over 1,000 technical documents of the project were analyzed. Throughout the three-hour discussion, each entity shared necessary observations on the presented documentation, emphasizing that these were requests for clarifications, not additions, which would not be allowed at this stage. The next step is to receive the Conference's minutes and formal opinions from each authority by mid-October. Once the project team receives this feedback, they will need to respond to the requests while continuing with other actions outlined in the project. Meanwhile, the Project Manager (RUP) must set a deadline for submitting the required documents and technical observations. Only after these steps are completed can a second Service Conference, the decision-making session, be scheduled.
The club grows impatient
Cagliari Calcio and the municipality of Cagliari issued a joint statement after the conference, expressing some disappointment with the extended timelines. The club had not anticipated requests for further detailed information and expected no further delays, which frustrated Cagliari Calcio and President Tommaso Giulini. The goal is to begin construction of the new stadium for the Italian club in the summer of 2025. However, according to all projections, this now seems unlikely and may not happen until the fall or later in the year.
