Modernity for fans’ comfort

One of the key elements of the stadium upgrade is a significant upgrade to the technology infrastructure to ensure the highest quality of connectivity. Working with Cisco and Verizon, Levi's Stadium now has a new Wi-Fi 6 infrastructure that includes as many as 1,300 access points. Fans can now enjoy fast and reliable internet in every corner of the stadium. In addition, a new 5G distributed antenna system (DAS), developed in partnership with America Fujikura Ltd. (AFL), will provide the highest quality mobile connections. This is the first such installation in an NFL league.

Levi's Stadium is also introducing innovative solutions to enhance the fan experience during the game. New checkout-free concession stands will allow for quick and convenient food and beverage purchases, eliminating the need to stand in long lines. For select 2024 season ticket holders, Cache Creek Field Club has prepared an all-inclusive buffet that is sure to please the most discerning foodies.

Luxury at its finest

The refurbishment of the stadium's luxury spaces is also one of the priorities for the upgrade. For those who appreciate comfort and prestige, there are 20 new seats at pitch level. The Graton Winners Club, which can accommodate more than 2,000 fans, has been enhanced with two new outdoor bars and other attractions. What's more, more than 120 luxury suites have been remodelled to meet contemporary standards of technology and comfort. Half of these renovations have already been completed and the remainder will be completed before the 2025 season.

In preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and Super Bowl 60, the stadium will also gain new modern video boards, which will be the largest 4K screens in the NFL league. An additional 13,000 square feet of LED screens and a new LED field lighting system will provide fans with an unparalleled visual experience while keeping the facility energy efficient. For the total investment, the 49ers will pay $200m.

Francine Melendez Hughes, executive vice-president and general manager of stadium operations, emphasises that the work to upgrade the facility is not over yet. We have been hard at work renovating and upgrading parts of the stadium for fans, but the work isn't done yet. Some of our biggest projects are still to come. We are excited to continue innovating to give fans one of the best viewing experiences in the NFL she said. Levi's Stadium is also not forgetting sustainability. This is the third time the stadium has received LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
