What do those enigmatic words and funny exclamation marks mean? Yesterday, on our social media, we announced the launch of the website in the new language. So it's time to get to know it and see the results of the work we've been ‘quietly’ doing over the last few months.

StadiumDB.com now in Spanish!

Our Polish website was being created at the time when Zinedine Zidane was joining Real Madrid. Surprised? More than 23 years ago, in August 2001, Stadiony.net was founded, and over that time it has continually evolved until it has become the largest database of its kind on stadiums around the world. After operating the site for 11 years, it was time for StadiumDB.com, an English-language website. Even though we have now failed to maintain the pace of ‘a new site every 11 years’, we are still proud and excited about the new possibilities that are opening up to us.

At this point, however, we also have a request for you. As the Spanish version of the site, EstadiosDB.com, is just getting off the ground, we need your help to ensure that ultimately the site reaches as many Spanish-speaking fans as possible. We would be extremely grateful for any sharing of the new site or information about this grand opening on forums, groups or websites. Every member of our editorial team has done a tremendous amount of work to bring this ambitious plan to fruition, so we will greatly appreciate any steps you take to reach a larger audience.

What can already be found on EstadiosDB.com?

Over the last few months we have been translating descriptions of stadiums, projects and construction sites, adding photos and the most important articles and lists from recent years. Prominent among these is the list of the top 20 largest stadiums in the world, which has been dominated by American venues. LaLiga fans will certainly be interested in the progress of work on the construction of Spotify Camp Nou or the extensive list of Spanish stadiums, of which there are now as many as 85 in the database.

However, as you know, our resources reach further than the Iberian Peninsula. So does Spanish, which is the official language in as many as 20 countries. Readers from South and Latin America will appreciate as many as 412 stadiums from the CONCACAF confederation area and 141 venues from countries under the CONMEBOL confederation. In addition to the stadiums from those regions, there is also no lack of construction projects - one of which is the renovation of Mas Monumental in Buenos Aires, with extensive coverage and the latest photos from September this year.

As with our Polish and English-language pages, there will be news on EstadiosDB.com every day. Over the past few weeks we have already written dozens of articles in Spanish, including information on Inter Miami's new stadium project. In addition to a set of the same content that appears on the English version of the website, the Spanish-language site will also feature news about stadiums from Spain's lower leagues or venues from South or Latin America.

No to nuestro sitio web fue creado cuando Zidedine Zidane fichaba por el Real Madrid ¿Sorprendidos? Hace más de 23 años, en agosto de 2001, se fundó Stadiony.net, y a lo largo de ese tiempo no ha dejado de evolucionar hasta convertirse en la mayor base de datos de este tipo sobre estadios de todo el mundo. Tras 11 años de funcionamiento, había llegado el momento de crear StadiumDB.com, un sitio web en inglés. Aunque no hemos podido mantener el ritmo de lanzar un sitio web nuevo cada 11 años, estamos orgullosos y entusiasmados con las nuevas posibilidades que se nos abren.

En este punto, sin embargo, también tenemos una petición para usted. Dado que la versión española del sitio, EstadiosDB.com, acaba de arrancar, necesitamos su ayuda para que el sitio definitivo llegue al mayor número posible de aficionados de habla hispana. Estaremos muy agradecidos si comparte el nuevo sitio o información sobre esta gran inauguración en foros, grupos o sitios web. Todos los miembros de nuestro equipo editorial han realizado un enorme esfuerzo para llevar a buen puerto este ambicioso plan, por lo que agradeceríamos enormemente cualquier medida que se tome para llegar a un público más amplio.

¿Qué se puede encontrar ya en EstadiosDB.com?

En los últimos meses hemos estado traduciendo descripciones de estadios, proyectos y obras, añadiendo fotos y los artículos y listas más importantes de los últimos años. Entre ellas destaca la lista de los 20 estadios más grandes del mundo, dominada por los estadios estadounidenses. A los seguidores de LaLiga les interesará sin duda el avance de las obras de construcción del Spotify Camp Nou o la extensa lista de estadios españoles, de los que ahora hay hasta 85 en la base de datos.

Sin embargo, como seguramente ya saben, nuestros recursos van más allá de la Península Ibérica. El español es lengua oficial en 20 países. Los lectores de Sudamérica y Latinoamérica podrán apreciar hasta 412 estadios del área de la confederación de la CONCACAF y 141 recintos de países de la confederación de la CONMEBOL. Además de los estadios de esas regiones, tampoco faltan las obras de construcción, una de las cuales es la renovación del Mas Monumental de Buenos Aires, con amplia cobertura y las últimas fotos de septiembre de este año.

Al igual que en nuestras páginas en polaco e inglés, las noticias aparecerán en EstadiosDB.com todos los días. En las últimas semanas ya hemos escrito decenas de artículos en español, incluida información sobre el proyecto del nuevo estadio del Inter Miami. Además de un conjunto de los mismos textos que aparecen en la versión inglesa de la web, el sitio en español también ofrecerá noticias sobre estadios de las ligas inferiores españolas o recintos de Sudamérica o Latinoamérica.
