What will the works include?

In the first half of the year, we plan to renovate the stadium used by Rayo Vallecano, as its fans and history deserve, so that the team can continue playing in the place that has always been its home, said Ayuso.

The works at Estadio de Vallecas, which will cost €2 million, will focus on removing rust from the pillars and walls, renovating the beams on the upper level, repairing the lower wall of the southern stand, and fixing cracks in the supports. Additionally, suspended ceilings will be replaced, and cracks and gaps in the facade will be repaired. The stairways in the stands will also be painted, and the toilets in the Avenida de la Albufera area will be refurbished.

Protective panels and galvanized steel sheets will also be installed. One of the stand covers will be replaced, and rooms currently assigned to Madrid sports federations, such as boxing, table tennis, billiards, and chess, will be renovated.

Shame

This news will surely please Rayo fans, who recently expressed their dissatisfaction with the stadium’s condition after the last home game. Via platform X, they shared photos showing various signs of neglect. The images revealed accumulated garbage, broken seats, and other damages. I've had a broken seat in the side stand for over five years, the stadium maintenance is a disgrace, wrote one fan.
