A solid proposal

The mayor continues to support the idea of modernizing and selling the Meazza to both Milanese teams. His goal is to ensure that San Siro remains a temple of Milanese football. Our proposal at this stage is solid; in due time, we will report to the City Council, and it will be based on understanding the clubs' interests, the mayor explained, referring to the feasibility study presented by WeBuild in recent months, which involves renovating the stadium without affecting Milan and Inter's match schedules.

What do Inter and Milan think?

If both clubs accept this proposal, there would be two options. We know that on the one hand, we need to launch a tender, and today it should have a structure that gives football a fundamental role. On the other hand, there's the possibility of a sale and a long-term concession, 90 years or something like that, emphasized Beppe Sala. Regarding the stadium's price, it is not determined by us, but by the tax office, which has been formally entrusted with this task. The sale would not only involve San Siro itself but also its surroundings.

According to information from fcinternews.it, the meeting between the mayor and representatives of both clubs will take place on September 13.
