Spain: What's new at Bernabéu in first match of the season? This Sunday at 5:00 PM, football will return to Estadio Santiago Bernabéu. That's when Los Blancos will kick off their match against Real Valladolid. After a summer full of concerts, the stadium will reopen its doors, offering fans several new attractions.

Greater comfort

The upgrades made this summer at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu stand out for their impact both inside and outside the venue. In recent months, work inside the stadium focused on tasks such as preparing the pitch and covering the hypogeum. The material surrounding the field is also new, with a slightly darker color than before.

Additionally, in the entire second tier, from the southern to the northern end, except for the east side, which had already been renovated, new seats and sector outlines have been introduced. These changes are part of broader efforts aimed at modernizing and optimizing the comfort and functionality of the stadium.

Improved accessibility

Changes have also affected the external appearance of the stadium, with significant progress made in terms of accessibility. Starting Sunday, the renovated Plaza de los Sagrados Corazones will reopen to fans, enhancing their overall experience. In the coming months, the Bernabéu Market, located near the aforementioned plaza, will also open, offering 25 dining options.

But that's not all

Another important addition is the installation of a second LED ring inside the stadium, which was not initially planned in the project. Its installation will take place once the appropriate concrete slab is available, causing a slight delay in this task's completion.
