Criticism of Peter Lim's management of club
Libertad VCF has strongly criticised Peter Lim's management of the club, accusing him of systematically selling off assets and failing to commit to the new stadium project. According to the association, such a strategy leads to short-term profits at the expense of the club's long-term stability and success.
The association also points to numerous problems with Nou Mestalla project, which has been one of the club's biggest challenges for years. Lim and his board's lack of commitment to the project has resulted in Valencia CF not being considered to host the 2030 World Cup. Libertad VCF believes that the current situation requires the immediate intervention of the local authorities to stop the club's further degradation. The association has launched an appeal to revoke the planning permission granted to Valencia CF.
Call to action
In the final part of its statement, Libertad VCF calls on the municipal authorities and the supporters' community to support and take action to prevent further liquidation
of the club by the current management. The association stresses that Valencia CF, as one of the most important football clubs in Spain, deserves better management and a return to success, both on a sporting and organisational level. It calls for the departure of Peter Lim and the democratisation
of the club.
Time is running out
The deadline for passing new documentation for the continuation of Nou Mestalla construction passed on August 3. The new documentation is therefore not in place, the club has a free hand as the 2015 ATE will be reinstated.
The failure to approve the Nou Mestalla as a stadium for the 2030 World Cup means that it may be in the interests of both Libertad VCF and the City Council to cancel the building permits as soon as possible in order to limit the actions of the club's owner. How this matter will turn out, however, time will tell....
