Scotland: Rangers to stay away from Ibrox for longer? “It frustrates me” Rangers may be forced to play their home games away from Ibrox for an extended period, as chairman John Bennett admitted that a return in September is “at this stage, just a dream.”

Great uncertainty

Work on the Copland Stand at Ibrox Stadium has been halted due to delayed material deliveries, which could result in the September 28 match against Hibernian being moved to another venue. The club has already planned to play their August Scottish Premiership, League Cup, and European matches at Hampden Park and may be forced to extend their stay at that venue.

I must caution that there is still uncertainty. We can aim for it to happen by the end of September, but that's just an aspiration. I'm sorry to have to say this, it frustrates me, Bennett told the club's media.

A new support structure is being built at the front of Copland Rear, adding nearly 1,000 new seats. These seats are said to offer some of the best views of the pitch. The upgrade also includes improved access for disabled fans.
