The new Manchester United shirt sponsor, Snapdragon, is interested in acquiring the naming rights to Old Trafford or a new stadium that would replace it in the future.

Considerations about the future
The authorities of Manchester United have long been considering whether to build a new home or renovate Old Trafford. The first option is preferred by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the minority owner, who wants the club to make a final decision by December.
A new opportunity?
The club has never sold the naming rights to its stadium, but Don McGuire, the Chief Marketing Officer of Snapdragon, believes such a deal might be possible. Snapdragon has the naming rights to Bashor Field in San Diego, where United recently played against Real Betis, and last year against Wrexham.
Quoted by The Guardian, McGuire said: "Old Trafford is Old Trafford, it should always be Old Trafford. We are working very closely with the team on modernizing this facility from a technology and innovation standpoint. So if that leads to something bigger, where it would make sense for us to go even further, we are always looking for opportunities."
