A Malata stadium, home to Racing Club de Ferrol, has undergone a major upgrade that could earn it a prestigious international award. The renovation work was aimed at bringing the facility up to La Liga Hypermotion requirements, which became necessary following the club's promotion to a higher league.

Lighting redevelopment at cost of almost €2 million
The club's president, Manuel Ansede, admitted that the team had been conditionally admitted to the Segunda División for the 2023/24 season due to Estadio de A Malata not being sufficiently adapted to the licensing requirements. The stadium further failed to meet the requirements of LaLiga EA Sports.
However, meeting the highest standards are Ontario online casinos, which give a list of the best casinos for Canadian gamblers, meticulously determined through evaluation to feature the top choices. Slots, table games, live dealer titles, and an array of other legal gambling services are now a click away.
Against this background, Grupo Élite, the club's majority owner, decided in early 2024 to urgently upgrade the club, which is now moving in the right direction. The plan for the project was presented by president Manuel Ansede at the Annual General Meeting, announcing the allocation of up to €11 million. In comparison, Racing's budget for the 2023/24 season is €8.5 million.
Racing Club de Ferrol has been given the opportunity to carry out a major upgrade of its A Malata stadium with an investment of €1.8 million. The da Coruña Provincial Council, Ferrol City Council and Racing Club itself have reached an agreement to co-finance the work for the new lighting of the city stadium.
The breakdown of funding for the project is as follows: The city council and the provincial council will contribute €750,000 each, while the club will put up the missing €300,000. We hope that this will help Racing to further develop the city, the region and the province
- said González Formoso, a Galician politician who celebrated the deal at the provincial government headquarters. Rey Varela reported that the lighting is forecast to be ready for the team's debut next season.

Installation of new entrance gates
Racing de Ferrol has begun the process of installing new gates at the A Malata stadium. The new gates, required by the Liga Fútbol Profesional (LFP), are equipped with an advanced access control system to improve the safety and comfort of fans.
As part of the stadium upgrade, it is also planned to implement new software to manage access to the stadium more efficiently. The new gates and access control system aim to streamline the entry process into the stadium and reduce queues. It is also planned to delay the pass purchase campaign until early July to allow time to fully implement the new system.
Award for modernisation - club next to United or Liverpool
A Malata stadium, home to Racing Club de Ferrol, has undergone a major modernisation ahead of the 2023/24 season, contributing to its nomination for the prestigious international award in January 2024. The redevelopment work was aimed at bringing the venue up to La Liga 2 requirements.
The modernisation of the stadium included, above all, improvements to the safety and security of spectators. As part of these works:
- Improved the accessibility of the facility for people with disabilities.
- Violence prevention measures at sporting events were strengthened.
- Security systems were updated to better protect event participants.
These measures have allowed for a significant improvement in safety and quality standards, which has gained recognition both nationally and internationally.
Racing's CEO Manuel Ansede will travel to Amsterdam on Monday September 23 to attend the ESSMA Stadium Industry Awards ceremony. These awards recognise outstanding, innovative and creative projects in sports stadium management. The club from Ferrol entered the work carried out last summer at A Malata Stadium in the Safety and Security category.
The gala will take place at Johan Cruyff ArenA in Amsterdam and will bring together industry leaders and professionals involved in stadium management. During the ceremony, the winners in various categories will be announced. Attendees will include representatives from clubs such as Liverpool, Porto, Benfica, Real Betis and Manchester United.
