Central Europe: Polish Cup in the stands - fans rocked! We were seconds away from ending the Polish Cup final more than half an hour early. At that point, the match between Wisła Kraków and Pogoń Szczecin would have gone down in history as simply another final. That was not the case, however, and fans of both teams were overwhelmed by extreme emotions.

How many people were at PGE Narodowy during the Polish Cup final?

It started nervously. From around noon onwards, there were reports from outside PGE Narodowy claiming that Pogoń Szczecin fans would threaten to boycott the final due to the police's failure to follow pre-arranged rules. Fortunately, there were no dangerous clashes - instead, it was noticeable that supporters of both teams were making their way to the stadium arm in arm. A total of 47,506 of them gathered in the stands. The attendance was therefore almost 3,000 fans higher than the final match the previous year between Legia and Rakow.

Despite the fact that there are usually a lot of fans in the Polish stands, and some fan groups are known for their incredible cheering and display of tifos, many supporters nevertheless choose online entertainment. One form of this is sports betting, allowing you to combine your passion for sporting events with your benefit.

Although Pogoń Szczecin were winning, Wisła Kraków led to an equaliser in the 99th minute and scored in extra time for 2:1. White Star won the Polish Cup for the fifth time in its history. Thanks to this, it will appear in next year's edition of the Europa League. The competition will start from the first qualifying round. It is also the first time since 1996 that a first-league side has been promoted to European cups. It was then achieved by Ruch Chorzów, playing in the second best league in Poland.

What tifos did the fans present during the Polish Cup final?

The fans were not passive - it was very loud at Narodowy, which does not happen often at Poniatowskiego Street. We saw the tifos already when the players went out onto the pitch. Wisła fans rightly pointed out that their team was the first to ever win the Polish Cup. The Szczecin fans also showed their support with a heartfelt confession: Pogoń always in our hearts. Even before halftime, the Szczecin fans demonstrated a second display, this time using flares, although the smoke was not so thick that the match had to be interrupted.

In the second part of the match it was the Wisła fans who used flares, and their tifo included the inscription Wisła fans and a banner The foundation of the club. While the Wisła players were presenting their third tifo with the inscription Viva La Wisła, the players from Szczecin scored a goal for 1:0. Thus, there was a momentary silence on the Wisła side. In turn, the Szczecin players, also preparing to show another choreography, erupted in euphoria after the scored goal.
