It is no secret that the magic of the Champions League is fostered by the fantastic stadiums on which fierce battles for the cup takes place. Santiago Bernabeu, Etihad Stadium, Camp Nou, Parc des Princes... and, in the case of the youth LM, Event Place Stadium, an arena on the 3rd floor of a building.

A stadium unlike any other
FK Voždovac, the historic club from Belgrade has been playing at the same place for years, but in 2010 the 6,000-seater stadium gave way to a shopping centre. However, even then enough room for an arena was found, only that on the fifth floor of the mall. Just below the artificial turf are two retail floors and two underground garages.
Inaugurated in 2013, Stadion Event Place has a capacity of 5,174 people , including 200 VIP seats, and is among the most unique arenas in Europe, and maybe even in the world. Although it was originally intended to hold only 3,500 spectators, the amount was increased by adding sections behind the football gates and modifying the roof structure. The stadium’s access is guaranteed by lifts independent of the shopping centre.
Young talents stand out on the roof
Despite its surprising location, the venue meets the standards needed to host Europa League and even Champions League matches. This is why UEFA decided to host the UEFA Youth League on it. This time it was the under-19 FK Crvena zvezda team that played on the roof of the shopping mall against very difficult rivals in the group stage - Manchester City, RB Leipzig and Young Boys.
"The Red Stars" from Belgrade got only four points, but gave their fans a reason to be proud by holding off The Citizens (2-2) and beating the Swiss (2-1),both at home. Despite the lack of promotion, which was gained by Manchester City, it can be said that by playing on the 3rd floor of the building, the young Serbs have already risen to the top.
