Warsaw once again hosts a great football event
PGE Narodowy in Warsaw will host the prestigious UEFA Super Cup match in 2024. This is an event that is traditionally played between the winners of the Champions League and Europa League. The decision on the matter has already been practically taken and is expected to be officially approved at the next UEFA Executive Committee meeting.
This is not the first time the PGE Narodowy is hosting such an important European competition. In the 2014/15 season, Warsaw hosted the final of the Europa League, in which Sevilla triumphed over Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk. In addition, Poland also had the opportunity to host the 2021 Europa League final in Gdansk, where Villarreal beat Manchester United.

Poland to host European games with increasing frequency
Poland is increasingly becoming the location of important European football competitions. In addition to the upcoming European Super Cup and previous Europa League finals, in 2025 Poland will host the final of the Conference League, which will be held in Wrocław.
However, it is the PGE Narodowy in Warsaw that is the largest stadium in Poland. A distinctive feature of the facility is the combination of two modern and costly solutions - a retractable roof suspended by cables and a modular pitch, used very rarely in the world. As the venue is scheduled to host only a few matches a year, the pitch is to be located outside the arena on a day-to-day basis and to be rolled off piece by piece before the competition. The stadium's stands have a capacity of 58,274 spectators.
