To improve the viewers' experience ahead of the 2022 NFL season the operators of the arena have established a partnership with audiovisual systems manufacturer Daktronics from Brookings, South Dakota. The company provided an upgraded LED video display at the north end of State Farm Stadium. The jumbotron was installed in the summer prior to the Cardinals team's first preseason game, and it will surely look amazing during the upcoming championship game.
The screen has 10mm pixel spacing and measures over 9 metres high by 35.5 metres wide. It is 44% larger and has more than seven times as many pixels as the previous display, retaining the ability to display all game information, scores and statistics. Along with the new video screen two ribbon-shaped displays have also been fitted to complement the main one and create a better atmosphere for fans. Those displays feature 10mm pixel spacing and enhance the entire system, which now has almost 2000 square metres of digital space.
Jay Parker, Daktronics vice president of live events, said: This upgrade will make State Farm Stadium ready to host the biggest football game of the year, while bringing an enhanced game day experience to Arizona Cardinals fans all season long. We are honoured to continue our long-standing relationship with the team and the facility, building something that everyone in Arizona can be proud of.

Daktronics enjoyed partnerships with a number of teams from the NFL. The company installed HD display for the Jacksonville Jaguars, at their home venue Jacksonville Municipal Stadium, now known as TIAA Bank Field, as well as unique, football-shaped displays at Arrowhead Stadium, where Kansas City Chiefs play on a daily basis. Daktronics was also influential in changes to NBA rules in the 2000s, producing the first light strips on the backboard to comply with replay regulations and, in 2004, developing a transparent shot clock to improve spectator visibility.
