Everything indicates that the official opening of the stadium in Adana will not take place until next year. It will be over five years from the initially planned completion date of the facility. The 33,000-seater will be the new home for Adana Demirspor and Adanaspor.

Installation of turf and seats as the final phase of stadium’s construction
The assembly of the seats was the final stage in the construction of Yeni Adana Stadyumu in the Sarıçam district, on the outskirts of the city. The creation of the venue started in 2014 and, as a result of many perturbations, dragged on indefinitely. In the summer, a hybrid pitch was laid, and at the end of November, the installation of the seats, which began in March, was completed.
The stadium has seating arranged in a mosaic showing flames in blue-navy blue and orange-white. The colours refer to the local clubs that will take over the stadium next year. In the first case it is about Adana Demirspor and in the second one it is about Adanaspor. Both clubs are currently playing in the second tier of the Turkish football.

The stadium was commissioned and built by Turkish Housing Administration (TOKI). Construction of the facility was publicly funded, as were most of the stadiums in Turkey. The Ministry of Sport, which is responsible for equipping the stadium, also participated in the construction of the venue.
Capacitive parameters of Yeni Adana Stadyumu
As already mentioned, the stadium has a capacity of 33,000 seats. 532 of them are provided for VIP supporters, and 992 will be lounge seats. There are 196 seats on the honour tribune, and 178 on the press stand. The stadium has a restaurant with an area of 3218 square meters, a canteen, first aid rooms, a prayer room and a buffet.

There will be access points for spectators with 10 elevators and 104 turnstiles throughout the stadium. The facility was built on a plot of 102,000 square meters, and the area of the stadium itself is 43,000 square meters. The venue consists of six floors, including two underground ones. The mezzanine floor, which includes functions such as loggia, VIP areas and stadium management between two grandstand floors, has been designed. In addition, the top of the tunnel where players enter the pitch has been painted in the colours of Adanaspor and Adana Demirspor.
Yeni Adana Stadyumu was designed in harmony with the surrounding landscape. In the conceptual phase, the slope of the terrain was taken into account, which resulted in the venue blending into the surrounding area and optically softening its size. The stadium, from the facade to the roof, is a lightweight construction, designed with the Mediterranean climate in mind. The roof structure is made of delicate steel ropes covered with a white membrane. The whole enables natural air conditioning thanks to uninterrupted air circulation.
