There are no indications that the new stadium for SC Freiburg would come later than anticipated. However, workers from various construction sites in the city are complaining about lack of basic protective equipment.

Regardless of the COVID-19 pandemic, the German city of Freiburg has several major construction sites with work ongoing. Among them is the new football arena at Wolfswinkel, future home of SC Freiburg.
As confirmed by the municipality on Friday, the project has seen no delays to date and is fully along schedule. This announcement is consistent with all previous reporting. At the same time the city warns that “even if the development work is fully on schedule, it is not yet clear to what extent the effects of the corona-crisis will affect various areas of work.”
According to IG Bau labour union, workers from the biggest sites in Freiburg have been complaining about lack of access to basic sanitary equipment like soap, toilet paper or paper towels. And along claims of Badische Zeitung, some workers are refusing to come to work in fear of their health.
Should all work conclude as planned, the new stadium should be ready for delivery before the end of July. Work began just last year and is being delivered at a truly impressive pace, owing it largely to the prefabricated structure. Work on the auditorium is nearly complete, with roof covering more sections every day. Work on the road network outside has already begun, while in May connection of local rail (S-Bahn) should commence.
The new stadium for SC Freiburg is priced at €76 million and will hold 34,700 people. Please note, the photos attached are from mid-February and the project has progressed since then.
