Derby County hired their long-time partners Matthew Montague Architects to design a new bar and restaurant in the south-western corner of Pride Park. The project covers 531 m2 and will replace Funktion Gym, which went out of business last summer.
Planning application for the development has already been filed. If delivered, the new outlet will provide 12 more jobs at the stadium. It’s planned to be open 7 days a week from 11am until midnight.
Pride Park Stadium is already home to other food and drink businesses, such as Greggs and Starbucks. It also has its own restaurant, called Igor's - named after legendary Rams captain Igor Stimac. The latest application will be considered by the city council at a later date.
