Using twitter banter mayor of Liverpool Joe Anderson may have revealed the planned site for new Everton stadium. Is it the Bramley-Moore Dock?

Everton have been exploring possibilities for relocation from Goodison for quite some time. After the Walton Hall Park plan fell through there were two options supposedly on the table. One in the docks and one further north-east from the current home.
Now mayor Joe Anderson hints the first one is much closer to being final. The Mayor of Liverpool – a life-long Blues supporter – responded to a supporter’s query on Twitter, providing an update on an announcement.
He wrote: “It’s closer now than it was last month and closer now than it’s ever been. All working hard to make it happen.”
And then he added this:
The tweet could mean that the site in question is the Bramley-Moore Dock, west of both existing stadiums. The dock closed in 1988 following the decline of the coal industry in south Lancashire, and has recently been used as a site for Sound City music festival.
The dock was part of Peel’s £5.5billion ‘Liverpool Waters’ regeneration programme, which was announced in 2007 and hasn’t moved forward since.
