Best drivers, supercars and more attractions await fans in Mercedes-Benz Arena in December. It’s surprising that Mercedes this year hosts its racing event here for the first time.

The car manufacturer from Stuttgart may have already had naming rights to local Bundesliga stadium, but this year for the first time Mercedes-Benz will hold their annual Stars & Cars showcase event at Mercedes-Benz Arena.

On 12 December  some of the world’s best drivers will give a test to finest Mercedes supercars on a purpose-laid track. Two lanes will be 7-8 meters wide each and will witness 15 regular races and 5 special fixtures. Among the latter ones fans will be able to see Mika Hakkinen and David Coulthard racing in AMG 6x6 G class monsters.

The winter event used to be held outdoors, which may be a factor in pricing policy for Stars & Cars this year. Entry is only €5 for adults and free for children under 14. This includes public transportation for the event.

Worth noting, it will make the stadium operations challenging in December as VfB Stuttgart are to play their last game this year just a week after Stars & Cars, on Dec 19. This leaves little time to prepare the field properly for the game.
