Liverpool: Crawler cranes arrive at Anfield

Two massive crawler cranes are now on site, expected to mount the main roof truss over western grandstand of Anfield. The operation should be done in mid-July.

Anfield expansion is entering a very impressive and challenging phase. As the steel structure of future upper sections continues to grow, two crawler cranes arrived on site to make it grow even further. And in mid-July they will jointly raise the main roof truss above the stand.
The roof altogether should be delivered by the end of October. Then work on steel structures will be halted until the end of 2015/16 Premier League season. Then the roof over old main grandstand will be removed and old sections connected with new upper ones. The process can be seen on the clip below, while current construction photos are underneath it:
