The steel frames guiding 95-feet (29-meter) high are already on the construction site. Also, over 40,000 square meters of glass cladding started arriving recently.

Another milestone will happen soon on the construction site in downtown Minneapolis. World’s largest pivotal doors, standing 95-feet (29m) at peak arrived recently on the site and await to be erected. Five doors will open towards the downtown area in the west of the stadium, becoming the main entrance gate to the stadium.

As the above rendering shows, glass cladding will create vast areas of both the stadium’s facades and roof. Steel frames for the glass panels already started appearing outside the concrete structure. Approximately 10,000 sheets, each 5 feet by 9 feet (or 1.5x2.7m), will help form the exterior skin of the stadium. The first panes will be placed on the east side of the stadium close to 11th Avenue S.

Work also goes on inside the stadium, where furnishings for future facilities are already being created. The Valhalla Club, which will offer the highest level of finishes and amenities in the new stadium, is beginning to take shape (view image to the right). With 21 HDTVs and an audio-visual experience never before seen in a sports venue in Minneapolis, the Club will offer an unmatched environment for fans.
