AS Roma announced their cooperation with CAA Sports, subsidiary of Creative Artists Agency. CAA is expected to help commercialise the new stadium in the wake of its upcoming groundbreaking. While the range of corporate activities to be taken up is great, most anticipated partner is one to acquire the naming rights.
“About two months ago, we took a major step forward by announcing our long-awaited plans to build a new stadium and a world class entertainment destination,” said AS Roma president James Pallotta, whose Raptor Group led an American consortium which acquired the club in 2011.
“Today’s announcement of our partnership with CAA Sports, the best in the business, is a significant step in bringing the plans and our vision to life.”
While enthusiasm with Roma’s new project is high, reality proves a real challenge. Juventus, the undisputed champions of Italy, haven’t found a naming rights partner despite leaving the job to Sportfive, also considered specialists in that respect.
