A man fell 5 meters down into the moat between stands and football field at Amsterdam ArenA. After hitting his head he is still in critical condition.

Though no official cause has been determined yet, most media suggest that the Ajax fan standing in one of first rows at Amsterdam ArenA's fanatic stand fell down to the concrete moat while celebrating his team's 2:0 goal. This seems to stand in opposition to the below fan video that suggests the goal wasn't scored until after the accident.

His fall was very unfortunate, because he hit the concrete with his head and lost consciousness instantly. Bleeding severely, he was transported out of the stadium and placed in a medical helicopter, transferred to a hospital.

Despite hours of efforts to stabilise his condition, he is said to remain critical.
