If no appeals are filed, we should know the contractors for new stadium in Debrecen within a few weeks. And if construction goes along schedule, Nagyerdei Stadion should be ready in mid-2014, according to Hoan.hu.

We are now entering the final phase of construction tender started back in 2012. Name of the general contractor should be known within days and if no appeals are submitted after winner is announced, construction works should start before the end of winter.

With the contract being signed, countdown begins for the construction company, which will have 15 months to deliver the 20,020-seater for Debrecen. The city is home to one of the most successful teams in Hungary, but hasn't got a modern venue to host it, that's why the project is done.

With delivery hoped after 15 months, we may see the new stadium operable somewhere between June and July 2014, of course with no unexpected delays happening. Budget of this project is set at 12.5 billion forint (or $56 million / €43 million).
