During today’s meeting of the Executive Committee announced further hosts of the UEFA Super Cup. Let us just recall that last year Prague’s Synot Tip Arena was given this privilege.
This time Wales and Georgia were awarded the match between Europe’s two best clubs. In 2014 Cardiff City Stadium will play host to the game. This newly opened venue is to go through expansion in upcoming years to reach 35,000 seats.
Second choice is a more surprising one as the venue indicated in Tbilisi is not the recently renovated national stadium, but twice smaller Mikheil Meskhi Stadium, known more as Stadion Lokomotivi. So far we have no information whether it is to undergo any major changes before the game.
