A town known to outside world for its civil war and beer. However controversial it sounds, this is quite the image many people have of Croatia. A wonderful country whose win in Euro 2012 we celebrate today with adding the Karlovac stadium.

Stadion Branko Čavlović-Čavlek

Erected in 1975, this multi-sport venue in the bend of Mrežnica river is rather modest, though has gone though a significant revamp in 2009 with the main stand receiving cover.

Since the town is known for the civil war fight against Serbs, it may come as no surprise that apart from NK Karlovac games the stadium had been used to celebrate Croatian military holidays.
